We’re now Good Business Charter accredited!

Have you heard about the Good Business Charter?

It’s a straightforward accreditation that organisations in the UK can sign up to, recognising their responsible business practices and behaviours.

We are thrilled to announce that Haus of HR has recently achieved this accreditation! We believe in being accountable in our business operations, and by gaining this accreditation, we demonstrate our commitment to our staff, suppliers, customers, and the environment.

The Good Business Charter measures behaviour across ten components, and we are eager to share our commitment with you:

  1. REAL LIVING WAGE: We commit to paying our directly employed and regularly contracted staff the real living wage as defined by the Living Wage Foundation.
  2. FAIRER HOURS AND CONTRACTS: We commit to using zero or minimal hours contracts only when mutually beneficial and agreed upon by both us and the employee.
  3. EMPLOYEE WELLBEING: We actively support and encourage employee wellbeing, treating those with legitimate sickness in a fair and respectful manner. We also promote access to impartial support and advice for employees with physical and mental health needs.
  4. EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATION: We commit to providing a platform where every employee can make suggestions or raise issues with senior management.
  5. EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION: We have robust measures in place to encourage diversity in recruitment, selection, and retention of employees. We also strive to prevent harassment or victimization in the workplace.
  6. ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY: We care about the environment and promote the development of good environmental practices. Our organization seeks to minimize its impact and continually improve in this area.
  7. PAYING FAIR TAX: We commit to paying our taxes where applicable, using tax allowances for their intended purpose only, and maintaining transparency in our relationship with HMRC.
  8. COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMERS: We are dedicated to our stakeholders and prioritize addressing and learning from their feedback. We strive to resolve any negative issues promptly.
  9. ETHICAL SOURCING: We commit to ethical sourcing in our purchasing decisions, aligning with standards set out in the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code where relevant.
  10. PROMPT PAYMENT: We commit to paying our suppliers promptly, within at least 30 days.

How many of these commitments do you already embrace? The accreditation process is simple. If you would like to join Haus of HR in championing responsible business practices, visit Good Business Charter and become part of the #GBCCommunity today!
