Make health and wellbeing of your employees a priority

Business Times, Northamptonshire – February 2023

Our Founder, Rachel Collar has been featured in the February edition of The Business Times Northamptonshire, advising business owners in Northamptonshire to prioritise the health and wellbeing of their employees.

Do you know how many days did your business lose to work-related sickness last year?

It might shock you, but in the UK there were 30 million working days lost to work-related ill health between 2021 and 2022. The primary cause was stress, depression, or anxiety.

And the cost of new cases of ill health in the workforce was over £11.2billion in 2019-2020. That’s a figure that is likely to have risen too.

So what might that mean for your business?

It’s going to impact productivity, turnover, and it could have a negative effect on the rest of your workforce, too.

Fortunately, as an employer there are things you can do to have a positive impact on the mental health and wellbeing of your people. Of course, it will take a little work on your part, but the outcome will certainly be worth it if you can decrease the amount of unplanned absence in the business.

That’s where we’d like to help. We spend a lot of time working with businesses like yours to help improve the mental health and wellbeing of their people. In turn, this can help to reduce absence and create a more productive, motivated, and engaged workforce,

We’re also offering a FREE HR Healthcheck to help make sure that business owners are taking the right steps to keep their business protected from all kinds of potential employment issues.
